In order to get into my university I just studied hard in high school with a near perfect GPA and a fairly decent ACT score which allowed me to receive scholarships from the school itself. I wasn't incredibly involved in high school so don't worry too much about that as long as you were involved. However, that was 3 years ago and it seems it's getting more and more competitive so take this as it is. Take time to fill out the application and get it in early or well on time!

Not a very hard college to get intoSep 11 2007Undecided
Not a very hard college to get into. As long as you have a good ACT score and a decent GPA, or you have done any time in a community college, you're practically a shoe-in. No interviews, no essays, no letters of recommendation are needed.
As I stated before, don't waste your time here.
ACT: 22 Male
When I applied, it wasn't too difficult for meFeb 12 2006Athletics/Training
When I applied, it wasn't too difficult for me to get in because I had a high SAT (old) score and a 3.8 GPA in high school. I have heard though, that the university is being more selective in order to control class sizes and grow responsibly, which I think is a good thing. If you are an out-of-state student wanting to attend and the ACT is not the main test in your region, take it before you come to Grand Valley. GVSU bases all the class placements off your ACT scores, SAT scores mean nothing when it comes to class placement. I wasted my first weeks testing out of introductory classes since I did not take the ACTs
